Dr. Michael Kofford
Michael Kofford DMD, MSD
Dr. Kofford is excited about getting back to his roots with the opportunity to practice in Utah where he grew up. He has practiced as an orthodontist, owning four practices in Colorado since 2011. He and his wife recently moved to beautiful Cedar City and are looking forward to establishing new roots here and being closer to their three kids and extended family.
Dr. Kofford started his undergraduate studies at Utah Valley Community College (now UVU) and finished up at Brigham Young University in 2001.
He graduated with high honors from Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. In dental school, Dr. Kofford received numerous scholarships and awards, including the Academy of General Dentistry "Senior Student Dental Award." He was also elected into Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.
Following dental school, Dr. Kofford continued his education with a one-year Advanced General Dentistry residency. He then was fortunate enough to be the dentist for the 10th Special Forces Group at Fort Carson. In that assignment, he served a tour of duty in Iraq. During his time as a general dentist, Dr. Kofford earned his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry which included him completing over 500 hours of continued education.
Dr. Kofford has wanted to be an orthodontist since he was 17 years old. Following his time in the military, Dr. Kofford attended the University of Colorado for his orthodontic training and graduated as an orthodontist at the end of 2010.
Dr. Kofford and his wife have been married for 25 years(!) and have three adult children in college. He loves to be outdoors and can be found biking, wakesurfing, or skiing in his free time.
Dr. Kofford is passionate about orthodontics. He loves getting to know his patients and creating beautiful, healthy smiles. He looks forward to getting to know you and your family!
